BURGER KING

TOPIC: QSR BTS
PERSPECTIVES: Development & Construction
PROPERTY: Louisiana Locations

Development History:   Dorsey made a strategic decision in 2016 – to expand its BTS Development Program to include QSRs.  With the hire of Caffrey Favrot, a 19-year veteran of the QSR Industry, Dorsey made a commitment to creating an experienced team that could provide excellence service and deliveries for its new clients.  Favrot’s expertise and experience in development and construction of QSR’s fit well with Dorsey’s already established professional team of site selections, entitlement specialists, development managers, and construction managers.

In 2016, Dorsey was selected by Burger King Franchisee in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to increase his store openings in multiple markets.

Process:  Favrot met with Joe Clements, the Burger King franchisee, early in the process to discuss and assess what services Clements needed and how Dorsey could tailor a program to meet those needs.  Following an assessment and status of Clement’s pipeline, it was determined Dorsey would assist with 3 openings – each at a different stage of development.

Dorsey’s Team, led by Caffrey Favrot, crafted a suite of services for each project which included, site selection, land purchase negotiations, architectural and engineering liaison, entitlement, and construction management services.

Outcome:   Clement was able to refocus on his existing operating stores, while Dorsey provided tailored services which managed the new restaurant deliveries. All three locations (Donaldsonville, St. Francisville, and Livingston, Louisiana) are open and operating.
